Pendergast leads KCC baseball team
MIAMI, Okla. - Alex Pendergast enjoyed a fast start with the Kirkwood baseball team this past weekend in Oklahoma.
Pendergast, a freshman second baseman from Des Moines Roosevelt, went 5-for-10 during a four-game series against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College with three home runs and four RBIs.
Kirkwood lost all four games in the weekend series to begin the season, including three tight setbacks by 9-8 in 11 innings, 8-7 and 7-5.
Lorenz Elion, Joel Vaske and Casey Sole also hit home runs for the Eagles. Cade Moss and Vaske drove in three runs.
