NO.4 KCC SOFTBALL WINS 4 GAMES

MISSISSIPPI - The fourth-ranked Kirkwood softball team compiled a 4-2 record on its swing through Mississippi this past week.

The Eagles opened the trip on Thursday with a pair of losses to seventh-ranked Copiah-Lincoln Community College, 10-0 and 3-0.

Kirkwood rebounded with a pair of victories Friday, topping Meridian Community College 13-6 and tripping Southwest Mississippi Community College, 4-2.

The Eagles collected two more wins Saturday, blanking Hinds Community College 2-0 and blanking Eastern Mississippi 6-0.

Kara Maiers was the winning pitcher in two of the contests. Jenna Sprague and Sailor Hall also found the victory column.

Neveah Hildebrandt belted two home runs on the trip and went 9 for 16 with five RBIs. Annie Gahan and Sydney Roe also socked home runs. Roe went 5-for-14 with six RBIs. Grace Lubben was 4-for-12, Lexi Hines was 4-for-12 and Emilee Linder went 6-for-20.

Kirkwood raised its overall record to 6-4.
