Hall & Linder Named ICCAC Athlete of the Week

Sailor Hall
Sophomore – RHP
West Liberty, IA / West Liberty High School

Sailor Hall went the distance in Game 1 of the District Tournament Northwest Plain District B series, ending with a complete game shutout. She finished with seven innings pitched, two hits, two walks, one strikeout, and zero runs allowed. Hall kept Dawson off the bases by allowing just five runners to reach base over seven innings. She moved to 17-4 on the year with a 2.82 ERA. At the plate, Hall decided to help herself out with knocking in three RBIs of her own on two hits. Then in the field in Game 2, Hall had two more hits and scored two runs as the Eagles soared past Dawson 16-4 to earn a National Tournament bid.

 

Emilee Linder
Sophomore – Third Base
Hedrick, IA / Pekin High School

Kirkwood's Emilee Linder batted .625 after going 5 for 8 at the plate in the Eagles' two games at the Northwest Plains B District Championship. Linder contributed three RBI, a double, and scored three times during the three games. Defensively, the sophomore infielder had three assists in the three tournament games. She now has a season on-base percentage average of .430 along with 48 RBIs. Linder's season hit total has now reached 73 and with 21 doubles. The Eagles return to the National Tournament for the eighth straight season.
