NO.7 KCC SOFTBALL BELTS ELLSWORTH
IOWA FALLS - The seventh-ranked Kirkwood softball swept an ICCAC doubleheader from Ellsworth Monday, 19-2 and 9-1, in Estherville.
The Eagles raised their records to 23-6 overall and 8-0 in the conference.
Grace Lubben and Lexi Hines belted home runs in the first game. Lubben went 3-for-3 with three runs and two RBIs. Neveah Hildebrandt was 2-for-2 with three runs and two RBIs.
Hines collected three RBIs. Sydney Roe had two hits. Emilee Linder, Kennedy Hill and Annie Gahan scored twice. Chelsea Buck had two RBIs. Kara Maiers (6-4) got the win.
Roe socked a home run in the 9-1 victory in Game 2. Hildebrandt was 3-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs. Roe drove in two runs. Hines and Brooke Kilburg had two hits. Grace Zaugg scored twice.
Sailor Hall (10-1) pitched three innings for the victory.
