NO.9 KCC SOFTBALL SWEEPS IOWA LAKES
The ninth-ranked Kirkwood softball team swept Iowa Lakes, 8-5 and 14-4, in the ICCAC conference opener at Kirkwood Wednesday.
The Eagles raised their records to 17-6 overall and 2-0 in the league.
Emilee Linder, Neveah Hildebrandt, and Sailor Hall socked home runs in the first game. Hall went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and Hildebrandt was 3-for-3. Linder and Sydney Roe had two hits.
Kara Maiers (5-4) tossed a complete game with 11 strikeouts for the victory in Game 1.
Grace Lubben belted a pair of homers and drove in six runs in the second game. Hildebrandt went 2-for-4 with three runs and two RBIs. Nadia Telecky had two hits. Roe had two RBIs.
Hall (7-1) pitched a complete game for the triumph.
