Eagles spike DMACC in 5 sets
BOONE - The 10th-ranked Kirkwood Eagles prevailed in a tight ICCAC volleyball match Tuesday night against DMACC.
The Eagles made only one error in the fifth set and trimmed the Bears in a slugfest, 21-25, 26-24, 25-15, 24-26, 15-13, in Boone.
Freshman OH Emily Strauss led Kirkwood (1-1) with 14 kills and six blocks. Anna Gorsich collected 11 kills, Katie Kopriva had eight and Maggie Peters seven.
Brooke Mulholland rolled up 40 assists, along with 12 digs and five blocks. Allison Pisarcik had 18 digs and Kopriva 17.
