No.4 Eagles spike Hawkeyes CC

The fourth-ranked Kirkwood women's volleyball was too strong for the 13th-ranked team from Hawkeye Community College Friday night.

Kamara Dickerson collected 15 kills as the Eagles topped the RedTails, 25-14, 25-18, 22-25, 25-17, at Johnson Hall.

Anna Gorsich contributed 11 kills and four aces to the victory. Katie Kopriva, Emily Strauss and Maggie Peters all had seven kills.

Brooke Mulholland finished with 20 assists and Rachael Nelson had 17. Allison Pisarcik made 11 digs and Dickerson had 10. Maggie Peters had five blocks and Strauss snuffed four.

Kirkwood raised its records to 9-1 overall and 8-1 in the ICCAC conference. Hawkeye fell to 8-3 overall.
