No.7 Eagles bump off Southeastern

Cedar Rapids - Katie Kopriva and Anna Gorsich collected 13 kills Tuesday as the Kirkwood women's volleyball team tripped Southeastern, 25-17, 25-15, 23-25, 25-20, in an ICCAC match in West Burlington.

The seventh-ranked Eagles raised their record to 4-1.

Maggie Peters contributed eight kills for Kirkwood. Kamara Dickerson had seven kills, while Jada Golden-Smith and Emily Strauss had six apiece.

Brooke Mulholland dished out 25 assists and Rachael Nelson had 22. Mulholland, Dickerson and Allison Pisarcik all had 15 digs.

At the net defensively Golden-Smith had five blocks while Kopriva and Peters added four apiece.

Southeastern fell to 3-3 for the campaign.
