No.6 KCC volleyball flattens Northeast

Maggie Peters energized the Eagles with some great defensive play at the net as she posted 8 blocks Sunday as the sixth-ranked Kirkwood women's volleyball team stuffed Northeast Community College, 25-19, 25-17, 25-16, in an ICCAC match at Johnson Hall.

Kamara Dickerson had 10 kills as the Eagles raised their records to 11-2 overall and 10-2 in the conference. Katie Kopriva and Peters had eight kills apiece. Emily Strauss had six kills.

Brooke Mulholland rolled up 23 assists and Rachel Nelson had 10. Allison Pisarcik made 14 digs and Dickerson finished with 13. Takoa Kopriva collected nine digs and Mulholland had eight.

Jada Golden-Smith blocked five shots. Katie Kopriva blocked four.

Northeast fell to 3-13.
