No.4 Eagles topped by No.8 Tritons

FORT DODGE - The Kirkwood women's volleyball team saw its nine-game winning streak come to an end Sunday.

The fourth-ranked Eagles were swept by eighth-ranked Iowa Central, 26-24, 25-22, 25-12, in an ICCAC match in Fort Dodge.

Kirkwood fell to 9-2 overall and 8-2 in the conference. Iowa Central raised its records to 11-2 overall and 10-2 in the league.

Emily Strauss topped the Eagles with seven kills. Katie Kopriva had six kills, Kamara Dickerson five, Maggie Peters five, and Anna Gorsich four.

Rachael Nelson collected 14 assists and Brooke Mulholland had nine. Mulholland made 13 digs and Allison Pisarcik had 12. Jada Golden-Smith added four blocks.
