KCC volleyball strolls by Southwestern

CRESTON - The Kirkwood volleyball team went for an afternoon stroll on Sunday.

The fifth-ranked Eagles handled Southwestern, 25-18, 25-15, 25-13, in an ICCAC match in Creston.

At the net, Jada Golden-Smith helped Kirkwood snuff Southwestern with eight blocks. Emily Strauss added five blocks. Dickerson led the Eagles defensively with 12 digs. 

Offensive leader, Katie Kopriva collected seven kills as the Eagles raised their record to 8-1. Maggie Peters had six kills, Anna Gorsich five, Kamara Dickerson four, and Strauss four.

Brooke Mulholland dished out 12 assists and Rachael Nelson had 10.
