NO.7 KCC BASEBALL TEAM WINS 4 GAMES IN TENNESSEE

MILLINGTON, Tenn. - The 7th-ranked Kirkwood baseball team opened the 2022 campaign this past weekend by compiling a 4-1 record on its trip to Tennessee.
 
The Eagles began the campaign with a 7-6 loss to Dyersburg State, then followed with victories over Parkland College (18-0), Lincoln Trail College (10-7), Southwest Tennessee Community College (12-7) and Mineral Area College (7-3).
 
Noah Furcht went 3-6 with a homer and four RBIs against Dyersburg. Chase Moseley was 3-for-5. Ryan Kilpatrick had two hits. Tucker Christensen pitched four scoreless innings for the victory.
 
Zach Sabers belted a home run and drove in four runs against Parkland. Alex Pendergast was 3-or-4 with four runs and two R BIs. Moseley had two hits and drove in four runs. Luis Menendez had two hits and two RBIs. Joe Simpson had two hits. Blaine Harpenau struck out seven batters in four innings and allowed only one hit.
 
Furcht went 3-for-5 with a home run against Lincoln Trail. Parker Shupe belted a homer and drove in four runs. Cameron Hailstone had a homer, two hits and two RBIs. Lorenz Elion had two hits and two RBIs.
 
Moseley went 2-for-4 with a homer and five RBIs against Southwest Tennessee. Trenton Burkhalter was 2-for-3 with a homer and four RBIs.
 
Shupe was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs against Mineral Area College. Kyle Hayes had three hits. Pendergast and Simpson had two hits.
