MOSELEY SPARKS NO.10 KCC BASEBALL

Chase Moseley belted two more home runs Tuesday to help the 10th-ranked Kirkwood Eagles split an ICCAC doubleheader with Southeastern at the Kirkwood field.
 
Moseley socked his two home runs as the Eagles defeated SCC, 11-6, in the second game of their twin bill. He was 2-for-3 and scored four times.
 
Moseley is hitting .491 with 12 homers and 46 RBIs. He is tied for third in NJCAA Division II baseball with those 12 homers.
 
Zach Sabers went 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs in the 11-6 verdict. Ryan Nelson also hit a home run and drove in three runs. Caden Stoffer (2-1) picked up the victory in relief.
 
Southeastern scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to win the opener, 4-3. Alex Pendergast was 4-for-4 for Kirkwood with two RBIs. Tucker Christensen pitched six strong innings for the Eagles. Cade Turner (0-1) was saddled with the loss in relief.
 
Kirkwood is 27-12 overall and 11-8 in the conference. Southeastern stands at 26-15 overall and 10-9 in the league.
