NO.7 EAGLES DROP TWO ICCAC GAMES

The seventh-ranked Kirkwood baseball team lost a pair of ICCAC games on the road early this week.
 
The Eagles fell at Iowa Central, 12-2, on Monday after winning the first two games of the three-game series on Sunday. Kirkwood also lost to Southeastern, 13-7, in West Burlington on Tuesday.
 
The setbacks dropped the Eagles to 34-15 overall and 18-11 in the conference. The Eagles are tied for third place in the ICCAC with Southeastern, NIACC and DMACC.
 
Chase Moseley went 2-for-4 with two RBIs in the 12-2 loss to Iowa Central. Alex Pendergast was 2-for-3. Blaine Harpenau (6-3) took the loss.
 
Kyle Hayes went 4-for-5 with two RBIs in the 13-7 defeat at Southeastern. Pendergast was 2-for-4. Joe Simpson went 2-for-4 and scored twice. Noah Furcht scored three times. Cael Frost was 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Caleb Banowetz (3-1) took the loss.
