EAGLES OUSTED AT BASEBALL WORLD SERIES
ENID, Okla. - The Kirkwood baseball team was quietly eliminated from the NJCAA Division II World Series Sunday with its second straight lopsided loss.
The Eagles were defeated by Murray State, 10-1, in seven innings at the ballpark in Enid, Okla. The setback came a day after Kirkwood lost to Heartland, 8-0, in eight innings.
The Eagles collected only nine hits in the two ball games and finished the season with a 43-18 record after winning regional and district titles.
Tucker Christensen (4-1) allowed seven earned runs in 3.1 innings.
