NO.6 KCC BASEBALL SWEEPS WEEKEND SERIES

LIBERAL, Kan. - The sixth-ranked Kirkwood baseball team rolled up 59 runs in four games this past weekend and swept its season openers from Seward County Community College in Liberal, Kan.

The lopsided scores were 15-5, 15-7, 14-3 and 15-6. The Eagles socked 10 homers and received contributions from numerous players.

Kyle Hayes went 10-for-15 with three homers, 10 runs and 12 RBIs. Noah Furcht was 8-for-16 with two homers, nine runs and eight RBIs. Miles Risley went 7-for-15 with two homers, eight runs and eight RBIs.

Joe Simpson was 6-for-15 with a homer, eight runs and three RBIs. Owen Ross and Sam Wilt also belted home runs for Kirkwood. Cael Frost scored seven runs and collected seven RBIs.

Alec Nigut, Jake Weissenberger, Logan Runde and Ganon Archer were the winning pitchers.
