NO.6 KCC BASEBALL TEAM GOES 3-1

The sixth-ranked Kirkwood baseball team compiled a 3-1 record on a southern swing through Mississippi this past weekend.

The Eagles topped Jones College (7-3) in the first game of the trip, then captured two games against Wallace State, 7-1 and 7-6. Kirkwood finished the four-game weekend with an 8-7 loss to East Central.

The Eagles raised their overall record to 7-1 after beginning the season with seven straight wins.

Alex Ritzer went 5-for-13 with five runs, three RBIs and a home run. Owen Ross was 5-for-14 with four runs, five RBIs and a homer. Joe Simpson was 6-for-15 with five runs, four RBIs and two homers.

Cael Frost went 4-for-10 on the trip with six runs. Noah Furcht was 4-for-10. Kyle Hayes went 5-for-15 with three RBIs.

Alec Nigut, Logan Runde and Caden Stoffer were the winning pitchers.
