LUX HELPS EAGLES SPLIT WITH NIACC
Jack Lux continued his torrid hitting Wednesday as the Kirkwood Eagles split a conference doubleheader with NIACC at the Kirkwood field.
Lux went 4-for-4 with a double, homer, two runs, and four RBIs as the Eagles topped NIACC, 13-5, in the second game of their twin-bill.
NIACC took the opener, 8-3.
Cael Frost also belted a home run in the 13-5 victory and scored twice. Trenton Burkhalter had four RBIs. Miles Risley had two hits and scored twice.
Kyle Hayes collected two RBIs. Noah Furcht and Owen Ross scored two runs. Matt Irvine (2-0) picked up the victory in relief.
Ross hit a solo home run in Game 1.
The split left Kirkwood at 29-16 overall and 16-10 in the ICCAC.
