NO.13 KCC BASEBALL SPLITS WITH INDIAN HILLS

CENTERVILLE - The 13th-ranked Kirkwood baseball team traded a pair of one-run victories at Indian Hills Wednesday.
 
Kirkwood took the opener, 4-3, but fell short in the nightcap, 3-2. The split left the Eagles at 14-7 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
 
Miles Risley belted a home run for Kirkwood in Game 1. Kyle Hayes had two hits. Logan Runde (4-0) tossed six innings with nine strikeouts for the victory. Nic Scanlon struck out all three batters he faced in the seventh inning for his sixth save.
 
Joe Simpson had two hits for the Eagles in the nightcap. Blaine Harpenau (1-1) pitched well, allowing two runs in five innings, but took the loss.
