#11 Eagles Take Down Western Iowa Tech

Sioux City, IA- The #11 Kirkwood Men's Basketball Team traveled to Sioux City on Saturday afternoon to take on the Comets to kick off conference play. The Eagles prevailed 79-67 to take a 1-0 start in the ICCAC. 

The afternoon game saw a lot of contributions from different players, with 3 Eagles in double figures. The complete team effort led to only 9 turnovers by Kirkwood, 5 less than the Comets. Ayouba Berthe led all scorers, putting up 21 against the Comets. Berthe shot 3 for 4 from behind the three-point line while also pulling down 8 rebounds as well. 

The Eagles return to action back at home in Johnson Hall this Wednesday, December 6th at 7:30 pm when they take on conference foe, Southwestern.
