Eagles Fall to Panthers on the Road

Iowa Falls, IA- In an important ICCAC matchup on Saturday, January 20th, the Kirkwood Eagles faced off against the Ellsworth Panthers. The Panthers secured a 98-84 victory, improving to 8-1 in ICCAC play.

At halftime, the Eagles trailed 41-50, and their efforts in the second half were unable to close the gap. Despite a relatively even distribution of team stats, the Panthers led in the three-point category, making 13-23 compared to the Eagles' 7-23.

James Spencer and Ayouba Berthe led the Eagles with 15 points each. Spencer also grabbed a team-high 7 rebounds. The Eagles aim to bounce back on Wednesday as they travel to Creston to take on Southwestern.
