#9 Eagles Secure Convincing Victory Against Hawks

Norfolk, NE- In a critical ICCAC matchup, the 9th-ranked Kirkwood Eagles traveled to Norfolk, NE, to face the Northeast Hawks on Saturday. Understanding the importance of the game, the Eagles wasted no time asserting their dominance, controlling the game from start to finish.

Ayouba Berthe led Kirkwood in scoring with 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for a double-double. Tate Peterson's sharp shooting contributed 17 points, going 5-8 from downtown. Kirkwood outrebounded Northeast 44-27, dished out 15 assists compared to Northeast's 10, and capitalized on turnovers, scoring 27 points off them. Additionally, the Eagles' bench outscored Northeast's bench 39-16. Overall, the Eagles dominated on both sides of the ball. 

With this win secured, Kirkwood looks ahead to their next matchup in the ICCAC. They play the DMACC Bears on Wednesday at 7:30 PM in Johnson Hall. Kirkwood looks to solidify their position in the ICCAC standings by capitalizing on the momentum from this weekend.
