#8 Eagles Conquer Comets

Cedar Rapids, IA- The 8th ranked Kirkwood Eagles put up a convincing win against Western Iowa Tech, with a final score of 100-38 at Johnson Hall on Saturday, February 3rd. The Eagles established a solid lead by halftime, 43-20, and maintained their momentum throughout the game.

Kirkwood's starters each scored in double digits, with Ayouba Berthe having a game-high 18 points. James Spencer contributed a double-double, with 10 points and 13 rebounds, playing a key role in the team's victory.

The Eagles outperformed the Comets in rebounds, 56 to 29, limiting their opponent's opportunities. They also took advantage of the Comets' 15 turnovers, scoring 23 points from these mistakes.

The bench was significant for Kirkwood, adding 35 points to the total, compared to Western Iowa Tech's bench, which contributed 6 points. This depth played a critical role in the Eagles' win.
