NO.3 KCC WOMEN DUMP NIACC
MASON CITY - Jada Devine tossed in 20 points Saturday as the third-ranked Kirkwood women's basketball team defeated NIACC, 74-52, in an ICCAC game in Mason City.
The Eagles raised their records to 16-1 overall and 6-0 in the conference as Coach Kim Muhl won the 994th game of his career.
Devine popped in three 3-pointers. Alycia Patterson also hit three triples and scored nine points.
Tasia Jordan finished with 13 points. Emily Dreckman provided eight points and eight rebounds.
Audrey Martinez-Stewart scored 15 points for NIACC.
NIACC jumped to an early 13-5 lead. Kirkwood finished the first quarter with a 12-0 run to move ahead 17-13, then the Eagles outscored the Trojans 28-9 in the second quarter to take control at halftime 45-22.
