Eagles Rebound at Northeast

Kirkwood rebounded from their first conference loss with a 70-42 victory over Northeast in Norfolk, NE on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Eagles, who never trailed in the game, led 20-12 after the first quarter.
 
The pace slowed down in the second quarter for both teams, but the Eagles still managed to lead 32-23 at halftime.
 
Kirkwood (19-2 / 9-1 ICCAC) dominated the second half as well as the Eagles outscored Northeast 38-19, as they cruised to the lopsided win.
 
Sophomore Tasia Jordan recorded her fifth double-double of the season, as she led the Eagles in scoring with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
 
Three other Eagles finished in double figures as well, and sophomore Jada Devine added 12 points.
 
While freshman Emily Dreckman chipped in 11 and freshman Demetria Prewitt finished with her first career double-double with 10 points and a career-high 10 rebounds.
 
Kirkwood is off until next Saturday when they return home to face NIACC at 1:00 pm in Johnson Hall.
