Eagles Win Big on the Road

Eagles Win Big on the Road

Kirkwood's game at Marshalltown was moved up two hours to avoid the impending snowstorm, however, that had little effect on cooling off the hot-shooting Eagles, as they cruised to a 112-27 victory Wednesday afternoon.

The Eagles would have a commanding 58-18 lead at half thanks to shooting 56.1% from the floor in the first half.

Not even halftime could cool the Eagles off, as the second half resulted in much of the same for Kirkwood, as they shot 23-40 (57.5%) from the floor.

For the game, Kirkwood finished 34-48 (70.8%) from two-point range and 11-33 (33.3%) from three-point range. Overall, the Eagles shot 45-81 (55.5%) from the floor.

All 10 Eagles who played found the scoring column led by sophomore Tasia Jordan's career-high 25 points.

Freshman Zhakayla Evans also finished with a career-high 20 points.

Sophomore Alycia Patterson filled the stat sheet, as she flirted with a triple-double finishing with 14 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists.

Sophomore Jada Devine added 12 points, while freshman Demetria Prewitt chipped in 11 off the bench.

Sophomore Nilah Coleman also finished in double figures with 10 points.

The Eagles return to action this Saturday, as they host Iowa Lakes at 1:00 pm in Johnson Hall.
