NO.3 KCC WOMEN TRIPPED BY NO.8 REIVERS
COUNCIL BLUFFS - The third-ranked Kirkwood women's basketball team was trimmed by eighth-ranked Iowa Western, 70-67, in an ICCAC game in Council Bluffs Thursday night.
The Eagles suffered only their second loss of the campaign, falling to 18-2 overall and 8-1 in the conference. Iowa Western raised its marks to 16-3 overall and 7-2 in the league, avenging an 82-60 loss at Kirkwood on Dec. 10.
Tasia Jordan led Kirkwood with 22 points and seven rebounds. Demetria Prewitt tossed in 13 points. The Eagles shot only 35.1 percent from the floor, hitting 26 of 74 attempts.
