NO.4 EAGLES POUND NO.20 NORTH CENTRAL

The fourth-ranked Kirkwood women's basketball team cruised to a 79-33 victory over 20th-ranked North Central Missouri Saturday in a non-conference game at Johnson Hall.

North Central was averaging 82.4 points per game, but the Eagles forced 23 turnovers and held the Pirates to 11-for-50 shooting from the field.

Tasia Jordan and Emily Dreckman led Kirkwood with 12 points apiece. Dreckman hit three straight 3-pointers to fuel an 18-0 run in the first period and finished 4-for-4 from long distance. Kirkwood also enjoyed a 30-2 run in the second half.

Demetria Prewitt scored 11 points and Jada Devine added 10 for the victors.

Kirkwood raised its record to 23-2 as Coach Kim Muhl collected victory No. 1,001.
