NO.3 KCC WOMEN CLINCH LEAGUE TITLE
ESTHERVILLE - The third-ranked Kirkwood women's basketball team defeated Iowa Lakes, 51-39, Saturday to clinch another ICCAC regular-season title.
The game was tied, 37-37, after three quarters, but the Eagles stopped the Lakers 14-2 in the final stanza for the 12-point victory.
Kirkwood raised its records to 25-2 overall and 14-1 in the conference with one game left in the regular season. Iowa Lakes fell to 18-10 overall and 10-5 in the league.
Tasia Jordan led the Eagles with 15 points and five rebounds. Demetria Prewitt contributed eight points and six rebounds.
Kirkwood hosts Iowa Central in the first game of a doubleheader Wednesday at 5:30.
