ICCAC WINTER PREVIEW | DIVISION II MEN'S BASKETBALL

ICCAC WINTER PREVIEW | DIVISION II MEN'S BASKETBALL

Last year, ICCAC Division II Men's Basketball had two teams reach the NJCAA Final Four. After receiving two bids to the National Tournament because of lack of participation due to COVID, DMACC and Iowa Lakes took advantage of the additional path to Danville. DMACC bested Iowa Lakes in their national semifinal matchup and went on to win their first-ever national championship in program history. The Lakers finished third.

Until 2023, the ICCAC will go back to receiving one automatic bid to the NJCAA National Tournament, and with the depth of the league, it's anybody's race.

Heading into the season, DMACC, Kirkwood, and Iowa Lakes are each ranked in the top-6 for the NJCAA preseason poll, with the Lakers getting voted tops by the coaches in the preseason poll.

Joining the league this year will be Northeast as they come down from Division I.

All nine teams will meet in Mason City for the first round quarterfinals and semifinals on Feb. 25-27. The highest remaining seed from there will host the Region XI Championship on March 3.

See how each team stacks up with returners, schedules, and history in the 2021-22 ICCAC Division II Men's Basketball preview!
