EAGLES CLAIM 8TH WIN IN ROW

FORT DODGE - The 11th-ranked Kirkwood Eagles dunked Iowa Central, 74-47, Saturday in Fort Dodge for their eighth victory in a row.

The Eagles (10-2) own a 1.5-game lead over DMACC (7-2) in the race for the ICCAC title with four games left for Kirkwood. Iowa Lakes (7-4) sits in third place.

Arthur Cox led Kirkwood with 15 points and five rebounds off the bench, hitting 6 of 7 shots from the field. Jaleque Dunson popped in three 3-pointers to finish with 13 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

Blake Brinkmeyer notched 12 points and seven rebounds. DaChaun Anderson snared 10 rebounds, helping the Eagles to a commanding 54-30 advantage on the boards.

Kirkwood (18-6) hosts Ellsworth Thursday night.
