#6 Kirkwood Kicks Off Season 1-0

Cedar Rapids, IA- A second half surge helps Eagles triumph over the Vikings! 

Freshman, Germaine Benson, pours in 19 points as the Eagles open the season in Johnson Hall with a win over the Grand View Vikings JV with a final score of 88-72.

The Eagles with four guys to score in double digits, Zach Erwin (SO) with 13 points, Traijan Sain (SO) 12 points, and Tyler Netolicky (FR) with 10 points. 

After a slow start in the first half the Eagles went on to score 51 points in the second half. The Eagles dominated the boards with a deficit of 46-21 with 19 offensive rebounds.

Next up, the Eagles take on Madison College tonight at 6:00pm.
