#3 Eagles Fly Past Ellsworth

Cedar Rapids, IA- The #3 ranked Eagles put on a scoring clinic against the #22 Ellsworth Panthers in Johnson Hall on Thursday night. Kirkwood had a stellar first half scoring 54 while holding Ellsworth to 29. The Eagles went on to outdo their first half performance by going for 56 in the second half ultimately defeating a familiar foe in a dominate 110-60 win. 

The scoring was spread evenly throughout the team.Tate Petersen had 18 going 4-8 from the 3 point line. Traijan Sain chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. James Spencer was dominate all night with 13 points and 9 rebounds. The last Eagle in double-digits was Richard Lindsey Jr coming off the bench giving the Eagles 14, going a perfect 5-5 from the field. Almost every player that touched the floor found themselves in the scoring column of the box score. 

The Eagles overpowered the Panthers in every category. They out rebounded Ellsworth 39-27, dished out 18 assists to Ellsworth's 4 and snatched away 10 steals from the Panthers. 

Kirkwood has a quick turnaround as they travel to Norfolk, NE to take on Northeast Community College on Saturday February 15 at 3:00PM.
