#4 Eagles Handle Business in Fort Dodge

Fort Dodge, IA- The #4 Eagles traveled to Fort Dodge on Wednesday for a crucial ICCAC match-up against the Iowa Central Tritons. The Eagles were looking for revenge against their first game against the Tritons in Cedar Rapids.

Kirkwood's scoring leaders for the game were Traijan Sain off the bench with a season-high 22 points (6-7) FG (2-2) 3PT (8-8) FT, Tate Petersen with 17 points (3-3) from 3PT and (8-8) FT, and Colby Dolphin with 14 points (4-4) FT.

The Eagles were laser focused as they capitalized on every attempt at the foul line, finishing the game shooting 90.9%. Making the most of those attempts, Kirkwood shoots a season high from the line making them 30-33 as a team.

The Eagles also managed to pull off an impressive shooting split percentage, finishing the game shooting 45% FG, 53% 3P, and 90% from the foul line. This allowed them to achieve the teams first 40/50/90 split.

Kirkwood led in total rebounds, winning the battle 35-28. Zach Erwin and Lucas Lueth both finished with 7 rebounds. Dolphin pulled down 5 rebounds as well.

The Eagles return home in their next contest this Saturday where they face off against the NIACC Trojans at 3:30 PM!
