
Eagles Fall to Reivers at Home
Cedar Rapids, IA- The Kirkwood Eagles' defensive struggles on Wednesday night led to an upset at home against Iowa Western.
Offensively, the Eagles had three players post double digits figures in the game; Lucas Lueth led with 20 points, Tate Petersen and James Spencer both produced 11 points.
The Eagles shoot a lackluster 40% from the field and a poor 18.2% from the three-point line in the second half which only produced 37 points in the half. Also, the Eagles allowed Iowa Western to score 10 points off of their turnovers, and the Eagles were only able to score 1 point off of the Reivers turnovers.
The Reivers went up three at halftime and they did not look. In the 2nd half, Iowa Western shot 55.6% from field goal range, 50% from three-point range, and 88.9% from the free throw line, all to outscore the Eagles 44-37 to win the game.
