
Second-Half Surge Propels Eagles Past Trojans
Cedar Rapids, IA- A strong second-half performance helped the Kirkwood Eagles overcome the NIACC Trojans and advance in the tournament. Traijan Sain led the Eagles in scoring with 21 points, while James Spencer recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds, marking a career-high in scoring. Lucas Lueth also contributed 12 points, rounding out the double-digit scorers.
Kirkwood dominated the glass, winning the rebounding battle 42-31, including an impressive 20 offensive rebounds. Spencer led the charge on the boards with eight offensive rebounds, creating extra possessions for the Eagles. Richard Lindsey Jr. added six rebounds, finishing second on the team in rebounding.
The Eagles also excelled in ball movement, tallying 18 assists as a team, with multiple players recording at least two assists.
