#5 Eagles Topple John Wood

Quincy, IL- #5 Kirkwood dominates in highly anticipated matchup against the John Wood Blazers.

The Eagles had multiple contributions in scoring on the night. Traijan Sain put up 15 points for Kirkwood while Tate Petersen scored 14 points in his time on the court. Lucas Lueth did not miss a shot, going (4-4) on field goals and finishing with 12 points. Richard Lindsey had 13 points of his own while Germaine Benson had 11 points, both off the bench.

Kirkwood shoot a season high of 52% from the arc going (12-23) on 3PT FG. Tate Petersen made (4-5) attempts  and Traijan Sain did not miss going (3-3) from beyond the arc.

Defensively, the Eagles forced the Blazers to shoot a season low of 31.9% from FG range, 29.7% from the 3PT FG and only allowing 23 second half points. Lucas Lueth turned away five shots reaching his career high in blocks with (5) in a game.

The Eagles are back in action this Saturday against Bryant & Stratton College at 5:00pm.
