
#2 Eagles Roll Through Marshalltown
Marshalltown, IA- The Kirkwood Eagles traveled to Marhsalltown on Saturday afternoon to take on the Marshalltown Tigers. The Eagles had four guys who put up at least 10 or more points in the win against the Tigers. Tate Petersen had 17 points, Colby Dolphin put up 16 points, Lucas Lueth had a double-double, 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Zach Erwin finished with 10 points.
Kirkwood connected on 82% of their shots from the free throw line achieving their highest percentage as a team this season, as they were able to connect on 24/29 at the charity stripe. Finally, after seven games the Eagles were able to reach the double-digit mark in makes from three-point range making 10/21 from the arc and shooting 47% as a team.
Eagles dicated the pace with their rebounding as they won the boards battle 47-35 and pulled down 14 offensive rebound in this contest. Lueth led all rebounders with 10. Richard Lindsey Jr. and Petersen both pulled down 7 rebounds.
Eagles will head on the road as they head to Fort Dodge this Wednesday to take on the Iowa Central Tritions at 7:30 PM!
