#6 Kirkwood Goes 2-0 at John Wood Classic

Quincy, IL- The #6 Eagles move to 4-0 with two wins over the weekend at the John Wood Classic

Friday the Eagles prevailed to victory against the Greyhounds of Arkansas State Mid-South. Led in scoring by Ben Bockman with 13 points off the bench (4-5 3pt FG), Zach Erwin with 12 points and Tate Petersen to follow with 11 points. Traijan Sain had a career-high in assists with 10 in the game.

The Eagles went on a 3pt point barrage making a total of 12 3pt field goals. Kirkwood found a way to share the ball with a season-high 26 assists as a team.

Saturday the #6 Eagles faced off against North Arkansas College to conclude the weekend in Quincy, IL and it would start much the way it began. 

Kirkwood would finish with multiple players in double-digit scoring, led by Traijan Sain with 15 points, Trey Smith with a career-high of 13 points off the bench, going 6-7 from the field. Zach Erwin and Colby Dolphin both finished with 11 points. 

The Eagles won the rebound battle over the Pioneers 39-31 and James Spencer collected 13 rebounds this game, a season-high for him. Eagles shared the ball well on back-to-back nights to tie the season-high 26 assists.

The Eagles travel back to Quincy, IL tonight to face off against the John Wood Blazers this time. The game is set for tip-off at 6:00 PM.
