#3 Eagles Complete Season Sweep Over Iowa Lakes

Cedar Rapids, IA- The Kirkwood Eagles secured a season sweep against the Iowa Lakes Lakers with a strong defensive performance in a low-scoring matchup. Lucas Lueth led the Eagles in scoring with 12 points while also contributing two blocks and two steals. Traijan Sain added 9 points and two steals of his own.

Kirkwood's defensive effort was the difference-maker, holding the Lakers to just 35% shooting from the field and a cold 18.2% from beyond the arc. The Eagles locked in during the second half, limiting Iowa Lakes to 23 points and forcing 18 turnovers. Each Kirkwood starter recorded two steals.

Despite the Lakers ranking in the top 20 nationally in total rebounds per game, the Eagles won the rebounding battle 34-30. Zach Erwin led the way with nine boards, while Tyler Netolicky grabbed seven and Richard Lindsey Jr. secured five, all coming off the bench.

Kirkwood was efficient at the free-throw line, converting 16 of 20 attempts for an impressive 80% shooting performance.

Next, the Eagles hit the road to face the DMACC Bears in Boone for a highly anticipated battle for the No. 1 seed in the conference. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM!
