
#3 Eagles Leave Norfolk With a Win
Norfolk, NE- The third ranked Eagles made the long trip to Norfolk this past weekend to play another crucial ICCAC matchup against the Hawks. Three of the top scorers in the contest for the Eagles were Colby Dolphin with 20 points, a season high for the guard, Traijan Sain with 12 points, and Zach Erwin had 11 points of his own off of the bench.
The Eagles dominated the glass and won the rebound battle 39-25. James Spencer and Tyler Netolicky both pulled down 7 rebounds a piece to lead Kirkwood in rebounding. Tate Petersen and Lucas Lueth both grabbed six rebounds.
Kirkwood scored efficiently in the game, connecting on 50% of their attempts from field goal range (27-54). Also, from three point range, the Eagles shot it well, connecting on 44% of the shots they attempted from three, going (8-18) for the game. Colby Dolphin went a perfect (6-6) from three-point range, making all of his attempts.
The Eagles will face the Southwestern Spartans this Wednesday at 7:30pm in Johnson Hall!
