#4 Eagles Roll Through Ellsworth on the Road

Iowa Falls, IA- You could say Kirkwood found its shooting stroke from the outside again as they knocked down 15 three-pointers in an 80-38 victory over Ellsworth Saturday afternoon in Iowa Falls.

The Eagles (17-2 / 8-1 ICCAC) started their scoring on the inside though, as sophomore Kaylee Corbin scored nine early points to help the Eagles jump out to a 15-2 lead midway through the first quarter.
 
Kirkwood's full-court pressure in the first half helped them take a 39-9 lead into the locker room at halftime.
 
Following halftime, the Eagles started hitting from the outside as they connected on 11 three-pointers in the second half.
 
Sophomore Emily Dreckman, who accounted for five three-pointers in the game, led Kirkwood in scoring with a game-high 17 points.
 
Freshman Ellah Kissell knocked down four three-pointers as she scored a career-high 12 points.
 
Corbin was the other Eagles player to finish in double figures with 11 points.
 
As a team, Kirkwood shared the ball really well dishing out 27 assists on 31 made field goals.
 
Sophomore Zhakyla Evans led the way with seven & freshman Kora Alesch finished with six.
 
Kirkwood travels to Creston on Wednesday to take on Southwestern in their next contest.
