#4 Eagles Trounce Tritons

Cedar Rapids, IA- In a unique situation due to a weather postponement earlier in the season, Kirkwood defeated Iowa Central for the second time in two days by a score of 92-73 on Monday night in Fort Dodge.

As the weather has started to warm up outside, so has the Eagles shooting from three-point range.
 
The Eagles connected on 17-35 (48.5%) from three-point range in the victory.
 
Over the last four games, Kirkwood has knocked down 10+ three-pointers in each game (53-140 37.8%).
 
Kirkwood (20-2 / 11-1 ICCAC) got things started in the first half as they drilled 10 three-pointers to take a 44-29 lead at halftime.
 
Six different players made a three-pointer in the game, led by sophomores Zhakyla Evans, Emily Dreckman & freshman Jenna Twedt who each made four respectively.
 
All five starters for the Eagles finished in double-figure scoring, led by Evans who finished with a career-high 16 points.
 
Sophomore Kaylee Corbin netted 15 points & 6 rebounds.
 
Dreckman & Twedt both finished with 14 points a piece.
 
Sophomore Demetria Prewitt added 12 points.
 
The Eagles also got contributions off the bench from freshman Niaja William who chipped in 9 points (3-4 from three-point range) & freshman Lizzy Puot added 7 points.
 
Freshmen Kora Alesch & Jariah Harris rounded out the scoring for the Eagles. Alesch finished with 3 points & Harris with 2.
 
Kirkwood returns to action on Saturday as they host Southeastern on Sophomore Day at 1:00 pm in Johnson Hall.
