Cedar Rapids, IA- Kirkwood cruised to their 12th straight win on Wednesday night with an 80-57 victory over DMACC at Johnson Hall.

The Eagles (26-2 / 17-1) used an 18-2 run over the first 5:01 of the game & never looked back.
 
Kirkwood would lead 27-11 after a quarter of play.
 
The Eagles saw three starters on the bench after being hampered by foul problems throughout much of the first half.
 
However, the bench gave good production as freshman Ellah Kissell came into the game & knocked down two big three-pointers & sophomore Ellie Etjen grabbed 7 rebounds to help Kirkwood maintain their lead at halftime 41-27.
 
The third quarter was played pretty even, as Kirkwood's lead remained at 14 heading into the fourth quarter at 58-44.
 
Kirkwood blew the game open with a 13-0 run to take a 71-44 lead with 4:39 remaining in the contest.
 
Sophomore Demetria Prewitt, who scored a game-high 27 points, scored 11 points during the run.
 
Prewitt also recorded her ninth double-double of the season as she snagged 10 rebounds.
 
Sophomore Zhakyla Evans & freshman Jenna Twedt also finished in double figures with 18 & 11 points respectively.
 
The Eagles' next game is at Marshalltown on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
