#4 Eagles Beat Blackhawks on Sophomore Day

Cedar Rapids, IA- Fourth-ranked Kirkwood used a big first quarter offensively as they cruised to a 78-38 victory over Southeastern at home on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Eagles (21-2 /12-1 ICCAC) used a 17-4 run over the first 5:30 of the game to take control & never look back.
 
Kirkwood's offense would shoot a blistering 13-19 (68.5%) from the field in the first quarter to help the Eagles take a 33-9 lead after a quarter of play.
 
The Eagle's offense flourished in the second quarter as they led 53-18 at halftime.
 
Freshman Jenna Twedt led the Eagles in scoring with a game-high 18 points.
 
Sophomore Demetria Prewitt also finished in double figures with 16 points.
 
Kirkwood heads to Estherville on Wednesday for their next contest as they take on Iowa Lakes on Wednesday night.
