NO.18 KCC MEN DOWN ILLINOIS VALLEY
Justin Recker poured in 26 points Saturday as the 18th-ranked Kirkwood men's basketball team clipped Illinois Valley, 94-76, in a non-conference game at Johnson Hall.
The Eagles (2-0) prevailed despite struggling on 3-point shooting, hitting only 4 of 31 from behind the arc.
Recker hit 8 of 13 shots from the field, including three 3-pointers. He also grabbed eight rebounds and handed our four assists.
Cassius Brooks poured in 21 points, hitting 7 of 12 shots. He also contributed five rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Arthur Cox collected 11 points and eight rebounds off the bench. Ayouba Berthe had seven rebounds and nine points.
