NO.15 KCC MEN WIN PAIR AT CLASSIC

FORT DODGE - The 15th-ranked Kirkwood men's basketball team won both of its games at the Iowa Central Classic in Fort Dodge this past weekend.

The Eagles clipped Central Community College of Columbus, Neb., by a count of 82-70 on Friday, then came back Saturday and dominated Dakota County, 90-67.

Kirkwood raised its record to 6-1 with the sweep.

All five starters scored in double figures for the Eagles against Central. Justin Recker and Cassius Brooks led the way with 17 points apiece. Noah King netted 16 points for the winners. Puolrah Gong and AyoubaBerthe added 12 points apiece in the well-round attack. King collected six assists. Recker and Brooks had seven rebounds.

No individual statistics were available from Kirkwood's game against Dakota County.
