NO.8 KCC MEN TOP NORTHEAST
Noah King poured in 24 points Saturday afternoon as the eighth-ranked Kirkwood men's basketball team defeated Northeast, 89-75, in the ICCAC conference opener at Johnson Hall.
King connected on 9 of 16 shots from the field and hit a pair of 3-pointers.
Five Eagles scored in double figures. Justin Recker collected 19 points in 19 minutes off the bench, hitting 7 of 11 shots from the field. Marcus Glover scored 12 points with a 10-for-11 performance at the foul line. Cassius Brooks added 11 points and Puolrah Gong had 10 points with a pair of dunks.
Glover and Ayouba Berthe grabbed seven rebounds. Recker blocked three shots.
Kirkwood raised its records to 10-1 overall and 1-0 in the league. Northeast fell to 5-4 overall and 0-1 in the conference.
