NO.15 EAGLES TOP NO.12 LAKERS IN OT

Justin Recker and Noah King combined for 43 points Saturday as the 12th-ranked Kirkwood Eagles trimmed 15th-ranked Iowa Lakes, 81-77, in overtime in an ICCAC thriller at Johnson Hall.

Recker netted 22 points and made four 3-pointers, including a clutch triple in overtime. He twice left the game with injuries, yet returned both times to lead the Eagles to an important victory.

King contributed 21 points, eight rebounds and six assists. He went 7-for-7 at the foul line, including clutch free throws in the final seconds of overtime.

Cassius Brooks chipped in with 15 points and eight rebounds. Marcus Glover finished with nine points and nine rebounds.

Kirkwood (15-4, 5-3) climbed within two games of Iowa Lakes (15-6, 7-1) in the conference standings. Creighton Morisch had 16 points, eight rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocked shots for Iowa Lakes before fouling out. Two other Lakers also fouled out.
